Sleepy Head

Yet again, I feel as if I'm talking in my sleep. How long will it be before I wake up from the long nightmare of having to suffer through excessively long e-mail blast messages? What are you people thinking? It's no secret that we join the mail blasters to help each other build traffic. While I will faithfully open e-mails and click the links to your web site, I don't have any real intention of buying. Of course, some sites are irresistible and that's also an important aspect of the system - a bonus sale or sign up never hurts. But let me remind you of one small point - the web site sells.... NOT your e-mail message. So stop wasting my time - and everyone else's time trying to sell me on all the wonderful benefits of whatever you're selling in a six page e-mail. It just won't work. Keep your blasting message short and to the point and include a link as close to the top as possible. I never read the message, all I do is look for the link. And I'll bet that 99% of the folks who are receiving your blast are doing the same. Make it easy for us PLEASE! I get so many messages that I can't help you if you don't help me. In fact, I've stopped clicking links unless I can find them without scrolling. So put your link up front and you'll get my support. And the support of a lot more people, too! Which builds your traffic - and that's what it's all about. As Sean Connery once said in a great gangster movie - "here endeth the lesson".
